Yes, Primitivo is more or less the same thing as Zinfandel, but this is NOT white Zin! It's from high-altitude vines with lots of coastal cooling in Puglia and bursting with crisp strawberry, tangerine and white cherry fruit with wild honey and herb accents. The texture is broad and a little creamy, but the fresh acids, cracked pepper spice and light tanninc grip keep it very dry and refreshing. Juicy delicious fun, especially with grilled seafood or sausages.

For You If:  You're looking for the refreshment and vigor of Provencal rose with an entirely different flavor profile; you're after pink wine for pasta - this will shine.

Not For You If:  You want something light or neutral - this has a terrific amount of intensity and is bursting with distinctive flavors.
