Organic/Bio As mineral as the land it is cultivated on, this Godello brings the rocky granite soil to life. Energetic right out the gate with wonderful fresh citrus and delicate orchard fruits. It delivers a saltiness and a full mineral palate that can only be delivered by granite laced soils. Fresh, long lasting, and dynamic, this wine would be great to pair with crispy pork.
If you are familiar with Spanish wines then you may have run across the name Palacious once or twice or four times before. The family is somewhat of a dynasty in the country where the patriarch, José Palacios Remondo, created the Palacios name in Rioja. Out of his nine children the four, Antonio, Chelo, Alvaro, and Rafa all found themselves in wine. Alavaro works in both the Priorat and the Bierz, Chelo remains in Rioja at Palacios Remondo and Rafa, the creator of this wine, is in Valdeorras. And I cannot forget Chelo's son, Ricardo is also crafts wine in Bierzo alongside his uncle. Quite the family that make quite the wine.
For You If: You enjoy fuller body white with lots of minerality but no intense oak aromas or influence, you enjoy Macon Chardonnay with little to no oak influence.
Not For You If: You enjoy fruity and lighter body whites, you enjoy New Zealand style Sauvignon Blanc and super tropical wines
