Organic/Bio A powerful, rich, and complex single-vineyard Grüner that delivers oodles of white pepper, pear and ripe apple aromas and flavors with a hint of butter and a salty, mineral, peppery bite on the long, palate-coating, finish. Stunning stuff. As Suckling says in the 92 point write-up, "Attractive nose of orange peel, jasmine tea, apricots and red apples. It’s creamy and youthful, with a full body and excellent freshness to balance. Hint of tannin at the end."
For You If: You're ready to trade up from "great value" Gruner to just plain "great" GV that keeps the freshness and easy-drinking profile while adding complexity, depth and texture.
Not For You If: You're looking for something super-rich, buttery or oaky - this has plenty of texture but shows no wood influence and finishes crisp and dry.
