A deliciously refreshing example of Piemonte’s most important white grape, one that focuses on crispness and vigor over perfume and volume. The stone fruit on the nose and palate pick up just a tiny accent of white flowers and then snaps to a zippy, dry, close. JamesSuckling.com describes it well: “Lovely fresh fruit to this arneis, with sliced apples, lemons and peaches on the nose. It’s medium-bodied and bright. Crisp, lively finish.”
For You If: You’re looking for a crisp, Italian-style, white with delicious fruit and a dry, zesty, finish for solo sipping and lighter foods.
Not For You If: You’re after a lot of floral perfume or broad texture – this is nicely tight and mouthwateringly dry.
