Organic/Bio In a line-up of very impressive wines, the Chianti Vallenuova takes things pretty easy.  There’s plenty of fruit, structure and complexity here, but the overwhelming impression is, “Ah – this is easy to drink.” As Vinous says in the 92 point review, “offers up an enticing mix of macerated red cherry, plum, licorice, new leather and blood orange. Plush and vibrant, with striking supporting energy, the 2021 is a terrific example of the year. All the elements are so well balanced.”

For You If:   You like Chianti to both pay attention to and just drink – this invites both.

Not For You If:   You’re looking for earthy, leathery, Chianti – this has a subtle leather note on the finish but is more fresh than earthy.
