Pesenti is a wild site and makes one of the most unique wines in the Turley line-up.  The mostly Zinfandel vines were planted here on the west side of Paso Robles in 1920 - pretty normal for Turley - but on a white limestone soil that's very unusual for Zin indeed. As the winery writes, the soils here give the wines "a brightness, with chalk and floral aromas unique to the site, and to Zinfandel in general."

For You If:  You're looking for terrifically complex Zinfandel that's still loaded with Zinny fruit and peppery spice.

Not For You If:  You're after super-rich, even thick, Zin - this is more on the fresh, vibrant, side of things.

"The 2022 Zinfandel Pesenti Vineyard is a very pretty wine, and also surprisingly delicate for Paso. Medium in body, with terrific nuance, the Pesenti is super-expressive in this vintage. Crushed flowers, blood orange and cedar overtones linger on the aromatic, finessed finish."
