A gutsy, peppery, Languedoc red that’s great for fireside sipping and matching up with hearty stews and roasts.  It’s roughly equal parts Carignan and Syrah plus around 20% Mourvedre and 10% Picpoul Noir, all from vines averaging 30 years of age.  Blueberry and black raspberry fruit are dusted with cracked black pepper and picks up a touch of sweet spice on the gently grippy finish.  Satisfying and versatile.

For You If:   You’re looking for an all-purpose red with enough fruit for New World drinkers and enough peppery spice and grip to satisfy Old World fans.

Not For You If:   You’re looking for something really big – this is medium-bodied at 13.5% - or loaded with oaky spice.
