Located right next door to the Asti wine region, the vermouth is 100% Piemonte, from the base wine being the local Cortese grape (same grape as Gavi DOC) to the local Piedmontese botanicals. Giulio Cocchi knew what he was doing when he started to make dry vermouths in Italy. The vermouth has a wonderful marrying of cardamom, wormwood, coriander, and angelica. The mint and lemon peels bring herbaceous notes and brightness to the palate. We think this would be a great ingredient for classic whiskey-based cocktails.
