Organic/Bio From the sister winery of Radio-Couteau, County Line wines look to deliver that level of style and quality in a more immediately drinkable (and less expensive) format. Fermented in steel and aged in neutral (meaning old/flavorless) oak, this serves up pretty Pinot red and black berry fruit with just a touch of sweet spice and very light grip at the end. You could chill this for solo sipping or serve at room temp for a bit more richness with salmon, poultry, mushrooms, etc.
For You If: You want the ripe flavors of California Pinot Noir in a lighter, more elegant, form; you need a really great picnic red; you like flavor intensity and length but aren’t after power and grip.
Not For You If: You’re after the more flamboyant fruit and flesh of Russian River Pinot; you want the less ripe fruit character found in Burgundy; you need a biggish wine for fatty food.
