From 45 year-old vines, the concentrated fruit aged in tank for freshness and new French oak to pick up weight, spice and creamy richness. Peach and ripe pear fruit showcase the generosity of 2022’s warm vintage with lovely hazelnut flavor and wisp of smoke growing with air. A delicious and affordable white Burgundy.
For You If: You enjoy the spicy, round, character of white Burgundy that sees a bit of time in oak; you’re looking for something rich enough to shine with scallops or lobster and fun to drink solo, too; you don’t mind the wax capsule.
Not For You If: You’re after Chardonnay either as lean as Chablis or rich as California – this splits the difference; you just can’t stand wax capsules – although this one isn’t bad; just poke the corkscrew through and pull the cork right out through it.
