Organic/Bio Just stupid good white Burgundy from unusual red limestone soils (studded with fossils) just outside the Macon AOC of St Veran. It's grown organically and ferments and ages in stainless steel with six months spend on the fine lees for extra creaminess. Zero sulfur used during winemaking before a very tiny touch added at bottling to protect the wine for shipping.
Naturally made and naturally delicious! Ripeness and concentration stand out here with real amplitude to the aromas and depth and power to the flavors of pear, green apple, peach, hazelnut and chalky minerality. The fruit gets more generous with air, but the wine never loses its classic Burgundian freshness, drive and minerality. A touch of spice and lovely persistence makes this feel much more expensive than it is. Ready now and delicious for 5 years.
For You If: The combination of creamy mouth feel and vibrant minerality makes your mouth water; you like Burgundy, they like California Chard and you need something you'll be thrilled to be sipping.
Not For You If: You're after super-ripe fruit flavors or overt oak - this is more restrained than that, but still generous and very easy to drink.
