Pat and Joe Campbell planted this site in 1985 from Estate Vyd cuttings and named it for the favorite Puccini opera of the folks who sold them the land. "Silky and lush" are always apt descriptors for La Boheme Pinot Noir's rich red and black berry fruit accented by notes of orange peel, cured tobacco and sweet spice. A touch of red berry blossom is a lovely grace note to this nicely ripe, but very elegant, red.
For You If: You're looking for Pinot with lots of perfume and complexity and depth without too much weight or thickness; you're after an amazing pairing with fresh planked salmon.
Not For You If: You're after Pinot that's wiry/tart or super-lush and bold - this is nicely between those extremes.
