Organic/Bio From 700 meters elevation in Mogannazzi contrada and vines up to 100 year-old vines, this showcases the wilder, more savory, side of Etna. Maybe it’s the fully 20% Nerello Cappuccio joining Nerello Mascalese, but this pumps out wild flavors of underbrush and bay leaf to go with rich raspberry and strawberry Nerello fruit. Grippy and bold, this is Etna red for grilled lamb and rich stews.

For You If:   You’re not afraid of something a little bit “rustic” and chewy to pair with rich, savory, foods.

Not For You If:   You’re looking for silky or smooth – Etna reds don’t really do that, and this less than some.
