Perfectly blending the richness of 2022 with the mineral concentration of Chassagne through fruit grown in sites across the village. Fermented and aged in oak (around 20% new), the creaminess of texture is perfectly balanced by stony minerality and supple acids. The pear, apple, stone fruit flavors expand with air and match nicely with hints of fresh butter and toasted hazelnut. As Jasper Morris says, "This is not a flamboyant wine but it is really very good."
For You If: You enjoy the touch of extra richness Chassagne often gives vs Puligny; you're after very classy white Burgundy Chardonnay that will certainly improve with time but is pretty delicious now with scallops or roasted birds.
Not For You If: You're looking for austere/sharp white Burgundy - this has excellent minerality and balance in a broader, more welcoming, style.
