Lower ABV From one of the smallest standalone wineries in Napa (just 2,000 cases per year), this is the kind of handcrafted, elegant and delightful Chardonnay that should sell for 50% more (but don’t tell Sean and Juliana!). From Carneros, Wine Advocate’s 92 point review says it’s “marked by hints of struck flint, pencil shavings, white peach and citrus, it's medium-bodied, concentrated and silky in feel, with a long, crisp finish. We find it nicely rich (even at just 13.0% alcohol) with fine minerality to the pear and baked apple fruit. Yummy.
For You If: You enjoy the rich fruit flavors of California Chardonnay with restrained oak and a noticeable whiff of minerality; you’re looking for seafood Chard – this will be brilliant.
Not For You If: You’re after either a more full-throttle Cali Chard feel or something really austere – this is in between.
