Organic/Bio Lower ABV What a beautiful Provençal pink wine this is! Including the pink coral color, the lightest ever at this fine certified organic estate due to picking the grapes cold in the dead of night so even less color than usual makes its way into the must.
A field blend of Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, Carignan, Vermentino and Clairette all pressed and fermented together, it shows off an expressive nose of pink grapefruit, wild strawberry, raspberry, sweet pea and a subtle savory hint of white pepper. This closes with more grip and snap than most French rosés, surprising for vines growing just outside sunny, hot, Bandol but typical of careful farming at 1,000+ feet altitude. You’ll love how refreshingly juicy this is solo and how well it enlivens any summery food and occasion.
For You If: You’re after a deliciously different spin on Provençal rosé, one with less stone fruit and watermelon and more juicy/tart red berries and citrus.
Not For You If: You’re looking for the classic Provençal profile – this has those flavors, but amps up the crunchy red berry and citrus notes and finishes with a delightfully playful bite.
