Organic/Bio A powerful blend of equal parts Syrah and Grenache from Lirac, just across the Rhone River to the south of Chateauneuf du Pape. There’s always plenty of rich fruit and gamey complexity here along with, in the cooler 2021 harvest, a nice sense of vibrancy. As James Suckling says in his 93 point review, “Aromas of spiced cherries, forest berries and sweet spices. Medium body with fine tannins. Layered and textured with a velvety mid-palate. Balanced and harmonious with a focused finish and excellent length.”
For You If: You like the richness and volume of Chateauneuf du Pape in a more easily drinkable (and affordable) style; you’re looking for a perfect match for grilled lamb or any dish with lots of eggplant and olives.
Not For You If: You’re after something light and easy – this is a big wine to enjoy with big, boldly flavored, foods.
"Aromas of spiced cherries, forest berries and sweet spices. Medium body with fine tannins. Layered and textured with a velvety mid-palate. Balanced and harmonious with a focused finish and excellent length. From biodynamically grown grapes with Demeter certification. Drink or hold."
