Organic/Bio Lower ABV I think Amandine was feeling generous when I met with her in Paris last February, because it’s been at least six years since we got this much of the domaine’s top wine – a whopping four cases! From a tiny, 1.5 acre, plot of 60 year-old vines in Chablis’s top vineyard, this is all about concentration and complexity. It’s certainly most delicious young Les Clos I’ve had from Malandes, in part because Amandine and Richard and really dialed in their use of oak – a few lager second and third use 500l casks and some steel barrels that give plenty of lees contact but no oak flavor or oxygen exposure. Worth holding on to some for 5-10 years and enjoying the briny, seaside, flavors that will join the party with time. Pretty brilliant.

Medium to full-bodied, satiny and enveloping, with attractive purity of fruit and bright balancing acids, it underlines this estate's continued progress.”
