Organic/Bio Lower ABV Another terrific vintage for this pure, lightly steely, and terrifically drinkable village Chablis that now comes from 100% organic vineyards. Our good friends and brother/sister team Richard Rottiers and Amandine Marchive make this from 8 small parcels scattered across the region with vines up to 60 years old. As always, this is pretty much the essence of Chardonnay grown on Kimmeridgian limestone soils. It's fresh, vibrant and transparent, with lime and green apple fruit and loads of salty stone minerality.
For You If: You love pure, unoaked Chardonnay from anywhere, but especially from Burgundy’s Chablis; minerally, fresh Italian whites like Verdicchio and high-altitude Pinot Grigio are your thing; you’d like to enjoy a bottle tonight and, perhaps, see what happens if you age a bottle or two for 1-3 years.
Not For You If: You like your Chardonnay really rich, buttery and/or spiced up with toasty oak; no matter how concentrated and complete, a wine at just 12.5% alcohol is too light for you.
