Lower ABV Very much a "spring in a bottle" experience here in this 65% Pinot Noir, 35 Gamay, rose where 75% of the grapes ferment on the skins and 25% as pressed juice. Big aromas with zip and zing to the scents of spring flowers, fresh strawberry and a bit of cotton candy. Then tangy and fresh flavors of red berries, peach and tangerine with a light touch of herb and nice sense of chew building through the dry, mouthwatering, finish. The concentration is excellent here, making this as delicious at table with food as by itself on a sunny afternoon. Excellent.
For You If: You’re after a refreshing, dry, rose with more citrus and herb and less peach/watermelon than pinks from Provence; you’re looking for rose to enjoy at table – this would be GREAT with fried chicken, shrimp, mushrooms, etc.
Not For You If: You’re looking for a full-bodied or rich rose; you don’t like any herbal notes in your summery pinks.
