Lower ABV Best known for his Pallette rosé (with Ch Simone, one of only 2 imported into the USA), Dom Henri Baunnaud also crafts this lovely Provençal pink from the high-altitude Sainte Victoire region. The Grenache base gives this more richness in fell than more Provençal rosé, with creamy peach and ripe strawberry and watermelon at the core. A good dose of Clairette adds zip and brings the wine home through a long, dry, finish.
For You If: You’re looking for Provençal rosé aromas and flavors with at touch more texture and depth; you’re after rosé that will do especially well with foods like salmon, summer grilled veggies, even lamb kabobs.
Not For You If: You’re after either the lightest/most delicate of French rosés or the heartiest/richest – this is in between.
