Whenever McPrice Myers faced a big challenge, his dad always said, 'Sometimes you have to grab the bull by the horns." And, as Myers says, there's no bigger challenge than answering the question, "How do you make great Cabernet for an affordable price? My answer is … Bull by the Horns." It’s bold Paso Robles Cabernet fruit delivering juicy blackberry and blackcurrant fruit with a dash of wild herbs and dusting of cocoa powder and the polish from barrel aging in French oak (20% new).
In 2022, this is super juicy, silky and easy to enjoy with or without food. As Wine Advocate says in the 90 point review, it's "scented of baked red cherry and plum with nuances of graphite, tobacco, tea leaves and aniseed. The full-bodied palate offers generous, perfumed fruit. It has supple tannins and just enough juicy acidity to call you in for another sip.”
For You If: You’re looking for the flavors of Paso Cab – big fruit, a touch of wild herb and cocoa – in an easy-drinking, party-friendly, style.
Not For You If: You’re after the intense structure and concentration of mountainside wines – this silky, easy, fun.
