The oldest winery in McMinnville – founded 1983 – turns out a classic Willamette Valley Pinot in 2022. The Wine Enthusiast 92 point review of the previous vintage tells you want to expect: “Yamhill Valley's estate wine jumps out of the gate with concentrated aromas of blackberries, bittersweet dark chocolate and a trace of vanilla. It's almost like smelling a red velvet cake just out of the oven. The fruit flavors are equally dark and brambly, with a touch of lemon zest and saline. Velvety tannins make for a pleasurable landing.”
For You If: You’re looking for that perfect combination of fruit, earth, structure and elegance that makes Willamette Valley Pinot so attractive!
Not For You If: You’re after the fleshier feel of California Pinot or lots of bite and minerality – this is nicely velvety and rich, but not heavy/thick.
