Organic/Bio Mainly from McMinnville vines, this showcases a bit of that AVA’s classic structure plus pretty black cherry and pomegranate fruit. The long hang-time possible in 2023 gives this an extra nudge of plush texture and aging in used barrels keeps the wood an accent, not a star. The grainy mid-palate texture and dark fruit flow into a spice, lightly earthy, mouthwatering finish. Nice Pinot and very nice value.
For You If: You’re looking for Willamette Valley Pinot to pair with grilled or planked salmon and a crowd.
Not For You If: You’re after something really silky – this has a touch of grainy grip – or super dense – this stays nicely fresh and pure.
