Lower ABV As JancisRobinson.com says, "For me, exactly what a well-made Albariño is supposed to taste like." Which is to say, kind of like Chablis but from Galicia! It's super pithy and crisp with a core of juicy citrus and stone fruit and a sprinkle of flaky sea salt on at the end. It's rare these days to find Albarino with this level of intensity and cut and it would be freaking brilliant with razor clams or oysters. Don't miss it.
For You If: You want to drink Albarino that tastes like we all say Albarino tastes like - but that often in these climate change days, doesnt; you're looking for the perfect match for salty seafood and shellfish.
Not For You If: You're looking for straight-ahead fruit or something soft/plush - this is salty, minerally, intense.
"Shows the character of the year, with more moderate ripeness, 12.5% alcohol and a balanced and elegant profile. It's clean, floral and still a little reductive (this is 100% stainless steel) and should open up with a little more time in bottle. There is some 30% of wine with malolactic in the final blend. It has less concentration and alcohol than the 2022, with more finesse and freshness and is a little more herbal. This is a superb example of Albariño from Salnés."
