Roughly equal parts Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot deliver ripe fruit, plenty of graphite and underbrush and supple, dusty, tannins. Ready. As Suckling says in the 91 point review, “Some very attractive, toasty oak and bright, ripe dark berries that deliver a fresh and vibrant impression. The palate has a smooth array of vibrant, succulent red plums and berries in a ripe, plush and dense style.”
For You If: You like Left Bank Bordeaux’s blackcurrant fruit, classic “lead pencil” graphite nose in a bargain wine that’s ready to go.
Not For You If: You’re after something with a plump and plummy Right Bank feel – this is hardly austere, but definitely shows Left Bank structure.
