Organic/Bio Ok, technically this is “Bordeaux” but spiritually it’s Loire Valley glou glou wine – meaning wine to gulp with delight. From iron-red soils, it’s 90% Merlot plus Cabernet Sauvignon fermented as whole berries with native yeast and no sulfur until bottling. Big, juicy, plump blackcurrant and blackberry fruit with a whiff of herb and plenty of meaty grip. The acidity balances the fruit and keeps the flavors really flowing. To drink it is to want more. What a delight!
For You If: If you know what “glou glou” means and like it, don’t miss this; you enjoy the flow and plumpness of Beaujolais and want that with a different flavor profile.
Not For You If: You want classic Bordeaux or like your wine “serious” – this is silly good fun.
