Organic/Bio The vineyard’s very steep slope and poor soils want to give highly mineral and structured Chablis, while the root virus that impacts all plantings here naturally suppresses yields and gives deep concentration. In 2023, it serves up such a classic Chablis nose of crisp apple, green and yellow citrus zest and seashell. This has excellent concentration and leads with mineral flavors before the white citrus and lemon curd flavors come up to really filly your mouth. Finishes with a lot of energy and stony, chalky, salty grip, giving a gentle squeeze that keeps the flavors flowing. Delicious.
We’ll share Burghound’s 89-91 point review, even though it was from a tasting before the wine was finished – it’s gotten much more intense since then! "A ripe but airy nose reflects the hallmark citrus elements of a quality Côte de Léchet and adequate typicity. The rich, moderately dense and refined middle weight flavors possess good minerality if only average depth and persistence. This is certainly pretty."
For You If: You love citrusy, steely, Chablis with lots of seashell minerality and grip.
Not For You If: You're looking for something razor sharp or super-rich - this flows in between.
