Lower ABV Bardolino is the fresh, easy drinking, red made on the shores of Lake Garda right next door to more “serious” Valpolicella. Chiaretto is the pink version, and the still lighter version of an already light red is pretty darn delightful. Big aromas and flavors of mid-summer Watermelon, ripe pie cherry and a whiff of wild herb flood your mouth and flow through the dry, crisp, finish. Refreshing solo and ready to pair nicely with all kinds of summer food.
For You If: The idea of a Provençal rosé with a touch of Italian style and energy tickles you pink.
Not For You If: If you don’t like rosé at all, then this isn’t going to change your mind – but anyone who enjoys pretty pinks should definitely give this one a try!
