Lower ABV We're going to go on and on about what a great food wine this is, but don't let that - or the darker-than-average color - fool you: this is delicious, dry, drinkable, pink! From mountain foothills north of Piemonte, it's 90% Nebbiolo plus Vespolina and Croatina, it's bursting with ripe watermelon, strawberry and rose petal aromas and flavors, it's nicely mouthfilling and finishes long, dry and savory with notes of sour cherry, pomegranate and white pepper lingering. Herbed chicken, planked salmon, salami, etc. will all taste even better with this. And it looks so good in a wine glass catching a bit of sunshine, you'll spend a least a moment admiring its good looks before you get lost in the great flavors.
For You If: Every rose fan will love the aromas and flavors here and fans of more full-bodied pink wines like Tavel or Bandol will have that itch scratched, too.
Not For You If: If you absolutely, 100%, without exception, need your rose to be pale, pale, pale - this has some color while staying emphatically crisp and dry.
