Lower ABV This quality source of great Loire Valley values turns their hand to Chardonnay here, all from chalk and limestone soils near Touraine. All done in stainless steel with just a touch of wood influence, it’s full of stone fruit and pear aromas and flavors and light oak spice over the chalky, fine, finish. As Wine Enthusiast said of a recent vintage, “A subdued nose on this wine conveys blossom, melon and citrus. Acidity and zesty lemon open the palate. The lemon ripens and the acidity softens, adding green pear towards a gentle finish.” Tasty and terrific value.
For You If: You're in the mood for pure, unadorned, Chardonnay - no oak, nothing tropical, no butter, just lots of mouthwatering yum.
Not For You If: You're in the mood for oaky/buttery/rich Chard - this is the opposite of that.
