The two vineyards in Santo Spirito were the last plots acquired by Terre Nere and are a bit further down Mount Etna's slopes than the estate's other vineyards. The site's deep volcanic ash soils and slightly warmer microclimate help these 40-100 year-old vines develop superb richness and plushness of texture
"This has dark fruits, sliced mushrooms and crushed stone with terra-cotta and red-earth character in both the nose and palate. Deep citrus turns very perfumed and intense. Full and powerful with chewy tannins that extend to the finish. Needs time to soften. Try after 2027."
