From what we’re calling the great tangle of vines in Spain’s Aragon region, this is why Garnacha is Spain’s great red grape: it’s able to deliver delicious and satisfying wine both grand and everyday from all across the country. The wine is big and juicy with crunchy black cherry and softly ripe raspberry fruit that fill up your mouth and then clean up on a lightly mineral, soft, easy, finish. Pizza, pasta, burgers, parties are all the match here.
For You If: You like a bold jolt of fruit in your reds but aren’t looking for “fruity” per se; you like red fruit flavors (cherry/raspberry); you’re looking for something easy.
Not For You If: You’re looking for a structured red with lots of grip and complexity; You really want notes of black plum, currant, berry, etc.; you're looking for lower alcohol levels - this is a robust 15.5%.
